Extraordinary General Meeting

The APPG on Prostate Cancer has elected a new Chair and Officer following an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on 9 September.
The meeting, externally chaired by Karl Turner MP, formally elected Dr Peter Prinsley MP as Chair of the Group. Peter had served as Interim Chair over the summer, following the departure of former Chair Calvin Bailey MP after his appointment to government. The meeting attendees also elected Clive Efford MP as a new Officer.
The Secretariat would like to thank Peter for taking on the leadership of the Group and welcomes Clive back to the Officer team as the APPG continues its work to improve outcomes for men affected by prostate cancer.
Commenting after the meeting, Peter said:
“I’m delighted to take on the role of Chair of the APPG on Prostate Cancer. Prostate cancer affects thousands of families every year, and I look forward to working with colleagues across Parliament, Prostate Cancer Research and Prostate Cancer UK to help improve awareness, diagnosis, treatment and outcomes.”
Further details regarding the Group's next meeting and programme of work will be announced in due course.
