A report from the APPG

The publication of England’s first Men’s Health Strategy provides an important opportunity to improve support for men affected by prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men. In this report, the APPG on Prostate Cancer examines how the Strategy can improve diagnosis, treatment and care, drawing on evidence from the APPG’s meeting in March 2026.
The report highlights the psychological, practical and social challenges many men face throughout their prostate cancer journey and sets out recommendations to address them. These include strengthening access to specialist nursing support, improving integration between NHS services and charities, and recognising the vital role of community-based and peer support in helping men navigate diagnosis, treatment and life beyond cancer.
